Set of 6 Schumann Arzberg Germany 11 7/8" Plates, Porcelain, Vintage

This offer is for six vintage, porcelain, 11-7/8” diameter, 1.5” deep plates crafted by Schumann, Arzberg, Germany. These chop/serving plates feature three vibrantly colored designs, probably hand painted, consisting of large fruit in the centers with smaller fruits in a ring inside an edge that is trimmed in gold. There are some light-to-moderate scratches/utensil marks consistent with use and some wear spots where loss of glaze was noted, possibly caused from stacking, of which I have tried to capture representative photo examples. There is some light edge wear in the trimmed edge. Regardless, they are beautiful plates. Some profess these plates are antique and date to about 1918; however, my limited research suggests that they were probably produced post-unification.

These would make great plates for displaying, part of a mix & match set, and would be wonderful used for outdoor dining where pristine condition is not essential.
